Once I had created all of my products to a standard I was satisfied with I decided to form a range of detailed questions to ask a focus group. My focus group was made up of a target audience of teenagers and adolescents. I designed the questions to be specific so that i could gain quality feedback.

From this feedback I decided to;

• keep the glow effect on the music video
• replace slower footage
• keep "Shy Fx & T Power- Shake your Body" at the end of the video
• keep the digipak simple, no unnecessary text
• keep the spine of the digipak black
• leave the brightness and contrast of the digipak as it is
• space out the track list and add the times of each track
• add a scan feature to the poster
• make the grey text, on poster, brighter
• move the text on the poster up, so that it doesn't touch the heads in the image

I was inspired to create this video by the increasingly popular form of blogging through the form of a video, vlogging and the 'Holdin on' music video by Flume. I found his video to be simple but effective, simple in the way that the mise en scene would have had little or no adjustments to achieve the realism portrayed, this also would have meant that the production of the video would of had very little costs. I decided to film from my own point of view as a member of the audience as I think this would really allow the music video to sell the artist by showing people enjoying themselves whilst listen to the music  and illustrating an authentic atmosphere.
The video begins with the journey to the venue cross cutting shots between the journey and venue to represent both the hype before as well as enjoyment throughout.

In this shot I increased the speed to create a sense of excitement as though the girls are rushing to get to the event to see the artist.

 The image on the right is the original image, I added a soft glow effect in slow motion to create the idea of them going back in time.

I reversed part of this shot where the train enters, to make it appear as though the train is being pulled back or something is not allowing it to pass. The lyrics "I see you clocking, Trying to block it" link with the visual as it looks as though the train is being blocked.

This was taken from a series of freeze frames which I added in to the video to look like images taken from the day have been added in.

The fact that this was filmed spontaneously I think it adds to the realism, in this shot, fire spurts out and it was quite loud, because of this I was able to capture real facial expressions.

The lyrics during this part of the video are; "Let the rhythm take control, As the heat is taking over your soul" again links to this visual as the boy is dragged back, by the music 'taking over his soul'.

The lyrics at this point are the same as in the previous screenshot yet the word 'soul' is echoed repeatedly, each time this is repeated I have cut from different shots so that the visual matches in time with the audio.

Here I added in a fade to white transition with a glow effect throughout to make it seem dream like as though they are travelling back in time again, as if 'the beat is taking over' their souls.

At the end of the video, It switches back to the venue to show a reflection of the night and then blacks out, and the text displaying the artist's name and song title whilst the music fades out. I added this in so that when this products gets to the consumption stage anyone that was interested in this product could go download it, share it or research the artists.

This is the same image that i used for my digipak front cover, which was taken from my music video to show a clear link between the three products.

I cropped the image to an A4 size and edited it altering the contrast, vibrance, hue and saturation.

I then began adding text to advertise a Shy Fx concert as well as his new album. I set out the text in a similar way to the digipak, and use the same font and colour, again so that there is a clear link. The artist's name is the biggest, as I think this is the most important information to be advertised. The day, venue and ticket availability is all the same size, quite large, with smaller related information below.














Written in grey, so that is is visible, I displayed the special guests to add value to the concert. Below I advertised the album and where it is available to be purchased from, 'Cornerstone' is larger than the 'New album' and 'Out now' so that it stands out from the sentence. At the bottom I added the artist's website and social media sites adding on Twitter and Facebook's logos so that the information is easily recognised from the symbol and  in white so that it is visible on the poster.

To finish, I added information about the record label. Similarly to the Flume advertisement I analysed, I added the record label logo at the top, 'Sour Records Presents' I think this illustrates that the label is proud of the artist and makes the event more special. At the bottom I displayed the company responsible for the poster. 'A SOUR Records presentation by arrangement with Kidda'.

  I added freeze frames in to my music video so that I was able to take 

these similar screenshots which 

shows the movement of the crowd.

 

I layered the images so that you could see the movement, so you can see a snippet of the music video, again making it very clear that this product is linked to the music video. I cropped the images to the same shape and size as the front cover. I also added a colour overlay which was sampled from the image on the three panelled inside, I did this so that there was a recognisable branded colour for the artist.

I increased the canvas size to form the spine of the digipak. On the spine I placed the record label "SOUR Records" and a catalogue number as this information would be needed by distributors. I also added the artist name and album title so the owners of the cd can easily recognise it when stacked along with other cds. This was written in the same font used on the front cover, so that it is recognisable.

Next I added the track list, in a simple neat font, in white so that it is visible against the background. I placed this to the left to frame around the image. I included all the artists that featured on the album to add more value more money as when purchasing the cd you'll be purchasing more that one artist's music. This was written in a slightly smaller font and in italics so that it is easily differentiated to the track title.

I added a barcode, the same record label logo on the spine as well as another logo. In small font at the bottom I added information about the record label, manufacturing and distribution.

This is the original image, this was also taken from my music video. I thought this would be appropriate for the three panels as it is a long shot,  so it is able to spread across the three sides.  Similarly to the front cover I used the lighting from the stage as the main focus to highlight around the cd, to make it seem as though it is something special glowing.

This is the image cropped and edited. I altered the contrast and brightness. I also distorted the lighting to make it spread on the right side to make it seem more se-metrical.

Using the lens correction feature I was able to create vibration-like circles around where the disc would be placed, to make it seem as though it has an impact, as well as darken the edges to emphasize the focus on the centre.
